Options Available for your Laser
Adjustment Potentiometer
This tool enables the tuning of a laser module's output power. Available for fine tuning (between 80% and 100% of laser output power) and coarse tuning (over total range of laser output power). Adjustment requires a 2 mm flat screwdriver. Not available for all models.
Control Mode
Lasers are offered with Constant Power Mode (APC) or Constant Current Mode (ACC).
Focus
The focus of a laser can be factory-set (standard practice for MFL lasers). Data and profile supplied.
Pulsing and Power Adjustment
The standard laser runs on Continuous Wave mode, independent of external signals. However, you can have the option of adjusting the power or pulse the beam through a BNC cable. The Pulsing and Power Adjustment allows the user to control the output power intensity of the laser, freeze an object's motion for image capture, or to strobe the light source to facilitate the ability to see the pattern generated (certain frequencies can be very alerting to the human eye and will attract immediate attention).
The Pulsing and Power Adjustment option is offered with either a Standard or a TTL power curve, and a choice of 10 or 500 kHz frequencies.
Separate Driver Diode Laser Module
This feature will protect the laser diode from heat generated by its driver and adds flexibility in the positioning of the laser module. The standard length of the cable is 6 inches; other lengths are available upon request.
Spatial Filters
Reduce the noise of your laser beam: equip your laser with a Lasiris Spatial Filter. Standard option on the TEC lasers, ask for all other lasers.
Water-Proof Housing
We can provide a sealed stainless steel tube that houses the laser and renders it impervious to water. Ideal for fully submerged or wash down applications. Tested at 500psi. Equivalent to IP Rating of 68 and NEMA Category 6P. Can not be used with the Separate Driver (SD) option. Maximum fan angle is 60°. Laser must be factory-focused, and therefore cannot be refocused. Note that no main switch is installed on lasers equipped with the water-proof housing. Available for SNF, DLS and DLSC Lasers.
Water-Resistant Cover
Ideal for applications where the laser may be exposed to rain, condensation, splashes, etc. Not suitable for full immersion in water or exposure to high pressure wash down sprays (see "Water-proof housing" option). Optical head and focus can still be changed by the user. Note that no main switch is installed on lasers equipped with the water-resistant cover. Available for SNF, DLS, DLSC and Green Lasers.
