ProPhotonix Limited began in 1951 as Stocker & Yale, Inc., which was subsequently shortened to StockerYale in 1999. The change to ProPhotonix is to better reflect the Company's track record for innovations in optics technology for both LED systems and diode-based lasers. Products in the ProPhotonix portfolio include those designed and manufactured using laser, structured light and LED technologies.
The applications for ProPhotonix products include linescan illumination, machine vision, 3-D imaging, dental and orthodontic curing, inspection of glass and advanced materials, electronic assembly inspection, automobile paint quality inspection, security ID, defect detection, alignment and positioning, and optical character recognition (OCR). Among the industries using solutions developed by ProPhotonix are: Automotive, Energy, Defense, Medical and Dental, Food and Beverage, and, Lumber and Timber.
Photonic Products, Ltd. subsidiary manufactures custom designed low-cost laser modules and other electro-optical sub-assemblies and optoelectronic components based on semiconductor laser diode technology, and precision optical lenses from Panasonic to OEMs in the industrial, medical, scientific and defense markets.
Our high performance LED lighting systems provide customers with a high-intensity, long-lasting illumination source. Our LED products are designed and manufactured by StockerYale Ireland, (ProPhotonix IRL) located in Cork, Ireland. The strengths of this division include a number of proprietary LED packaging methods, as well as optical modeling and simulation know-how.
